Last week we relaunched A National Voice virtually on Twitter and we are proud to say we had over 70 care-experienced young people, adults and professionals who work in the looked after children and care leavers’ sector join in our first #ANationalVoice Twitter conversation on the theme of ‘Connections’.
One of the topics that came up a lot is boredom so in the next two weeks A National Voice will be focusing on ways we can bust boredom during lockdown!
Online Art Club
As part of this we are launching an online art club where our first theme will also be ‘Connections’. You can submit your art in any form you like! Video, picture, painting, drawing, creative writing, song/rap, just link it to the theme ‘Connections’! We will be sharing submitted art on social media through the @CoramVoice twitter from Friday 1st May. I’ve attached a poster with all the information so please do get involved! You don't have to be a twitter user to enter.
Care-Experienced Zoom Session
We are also going to be holding our first care-experienced zoom session with children and young people on the topic of “Stigma” on Wednesday 29th April. This session is for children in care and care leavers to come together and discuss the topic of ‘Stigma’ in a carefully moderated space led by our participation team. For more information about how you can get involved in this session please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
